Event Makeup Looks 2014

Hi everyone..
So iv'e been looking through my pics and thought i would do a blog post on my fav makeup looks of 2014! (seems so weird typing 2014 now I've only just got used to saying 2015!!). Anyway, as it says in the 'about me' section of my blog, i do makeup on myself not on others, i am not freelance or anything like that and wouldn't be confident enough to do my makeup on others, at least if i do it on myself and i hate it i can whip out a make up wipe! For me 2014 was the year i started taking an interest in makeup, and what an amazing year for it, some amazing products launched last year. I was so obsessed with makeup i was on holiday in Cannes and spent most of my money in MAC and Sephora (WE NEED ONE IN THE UK WHO AGREES?!?!?!). Thats where the pic below was taken.

You may have seen the look below in my previous post - this is my NYE makeup look, all eye makeup details are on there!

2014- the year of the contour, the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour palette was without a doubt THE product of 2014, and oh how i love a sharp contour and a cut crease! The following look i wore for my year 13 prom! eyeshadow on the lid was stila 'kitten' with wedge on the crease going in with swiss chocolate and darkening with carbon - all MAC shadows! i used a sigma pencil brush to get the cut crease then blended with a MAC 217! if you don't have this eyeshadow blending brush then you NEEEEEED it! Urban decay naked lipgloss in the shade 'lovechild' on the lip with MAC angel lippy underneath.

Another colour that i enjoyed wearing this year was PURPLE, on the lip and on the lid!

The colour  i used on the lid was parfait amour by mac and then sketch in the outer corner and crease to blend! I also used a purple colour from the BH cosmetics shimmer colour palette but theres no shade name!

Summer 2014 when i was comfortable with makeup was when i started embracing vibrant colours! and this is when i purchased MAC up the amp! and i have to say i love it! it also looks great on top of 'whirl' lipliner. This lipstick has a great formulation and is not at all drying on my lips! if you are poking for a vibrant summery purple then this is for you! for a wintery deep plum purple i would suggest MAC rebel or Topshop beguiled for a cheaper yet similar alternative!

Please comment below what you think to these looks or if you would like any more information :) xx
